The Good:
Interesting. Easy to navigate. No sound. No gimmicks
Simple grid structure, colour co-ordinated throughout. Easy to navigate.
Home page a bit too busy, not enough white space, too much information, but regardless, easy to navigate, lots of information regarding the products, a few gimmicky things to get people to stay, like 'dog of the week'. (I'm saying nothing)
Lovely. Eye Candy. Wants you to stay and play on it all day. (I would if I could)
Beautifully laid out, beautifully thought out. Can take a while to load though... and the home page has far too much information - it's a bit confusing if you have just gone there to use the thesaurus.
Good thoughtful way of presenting furnishing fabrics in the gallery with images scrolling by. Effective. Simple. Easy to navigate.
I love this website. LOVE IT.
I may not be able to understand a word it is saying, but the effective use of colour, and the way it 'glows' as you hover over... it's LOVELY. This is an example of how pure text can be made to look REALLY interesting.
Interesting, fully interactive. It's not my thing, and I hate the uninvited invasion of sound, but for what it is designed for, and who it is marketed to, it's brilliant.
Site under construction so meanwhile they let you graffiti at will. A bit of fun.

The bad.
This is so unbelievably ugly and un-navigate-able it must be some kind of joke. Surely? I think they tried to make it sooooo bad that they'd win all the 'worst websites for 2008' competitions and get traffic that way? You couldn't seriously think this is acceptable?
Thankfully these people are Stone Fabrics (who I work for) 'competition'
If they put ONE more colour, ONE more font or ONE more flashing light I will definitely be sick.
It's just ugly. Pure and simple.
The first thing you see is some out of focus shots of aertex clad staff, with a caption "SERVING CUSTOMERS ON LINE SINCE 2000 [9 YEARS]" – Just in case you don't know what year you are in???
What's with all that yellow?
Really.
It is the pits.
There is a mish mash of god knows how many 'styles', the language is bafflegab - 'webmail' .. webmail??? What's wrong with email?
I find I can only visit this site in dire emergencies. There is not enough valium in the world to sustain a regular visit.
Please. someone. Fix it.
(I said please)
