Note Book

I used orange because it was my favourite colour from the calendar print, but you can read deeper into it if you like –
  • It is the direct opposite to lilac-the colour I associate with Alzheimer's charities and the elderly in general. I wanted a campaign that is directly opposite to what was being done
  • It's connotes 'sunset' (albeit an upside down one) - Alzheimer's is like the sunset of your life, when the light starts to dim, the beginning of the end.

Printed A5 wirobound with a heavy plastic cover that bumps it up and HOPEFULLY makes it look substantial. I have only ordered 10, so they work out pretty expensive. Hopefully I can sell them for about £12.00 each.

Fonts: Emma Script (what an amazing font! I didn't have to kern or change ligatures or ANYTHING!)
And Gotham. Kind of. Drawn over Gotham. I really love Gotham. I chose it because it looks like the kind of letters you are taught to write at school. I keep connecting this project to childhood as well as the elderly - the stick figures, the bright colours. I hope it reads as I intend–that there is an aspect of regressing back into childhood with the Alzheimer's disease, or with growing old in general. It's not meant to be offensive, or jarring. Just pleasant. Just because I'm paranoid, doesn't mean they're not after me.

The inside leaves are printed with squared graph design on one side, and the short 'we make light of a poor memory....' paragraph.
There is no link to me or my website, I figured I could print stickers to go on the inside cover. I didn't want it printed on every page, and I didn't want the clutter on the cover.
